Under the UKGC, we are licence-bound to verify your account. This process is done to secure your funds safely, make sure that all deposits you have made are from legitimate sources and ensure your funds are being sent to you, and only you.
Going through this process can aid in cases such as if your payment information was used without permission or your knowledge and funds were transferred, we would be able to identify and stop these situations as soon as possible.
We will ask you, via chat or email, to upload certain documents using our encrypted and safe third-party document tool, which it will undergo various automatic and manual checks to ensure legitimacy before we accept or deny the upload.
How do I verify my account?
When should I send in documents?
You will receive a notification via email from BetMGM asking you to verify a certain document in order to validate your account details. We may require certain documents at different stages in time and there is the possibility that we re-request a new document such as a new ID to keep your account info updated.
What type of documents do you require?
ID - In order to verify your identity, we need to see a government issued photo ID that states your place of birth. This ID should be valid and in date. We need to see all four corners of the document and ensure that the images are clear. Please do not cover any part of the document.
We accept the following forms of ID:
- Driver's Licence
- Provisional Driver's Licence
- Passport
- Birth Certificate
Proof of Address - To verify your address, please provide a photo or screenshot of one of the following documents, ensuring it clearly shows:
- Your name
- Your address
- The issue date
- The company name/ logo
- All 4 corners of the document
Please ensure you can see all of the above in order to verify your proof of address document.
We accept the following documents as proof of address:
- Bills and Statements: Utility Bill (Gas, Electric, Satellite Television, Landline or Mobile Phone)
- Council Tax Bill (for the current year)
- Bank, Building Society, or Credit Card Statement
- Housing Documents: Council or Housing Association Rent Card or Tenancy Agreement
- Government and Official Documents: Benefit Book or Original Notification Letter from Benefits Agency
HMRC Self-Assessment letters, Tax Demand, P60, P45
Electoral Register Entry - Other: Letter of Confirmation from GP's Practice of Registration
Car Insurance Statement (must show policy number, quote letters not accepted)
Please note: All documents must be original or certified copies. Scanned documents are not acceptable.
How do I upload my documents?
You can use our document upload feature on your account by heading to the “Hamburger Menu”, “Profile”. From here you will see your “Account Overview” and any requested documents can be seen under “Verify Account”. Make sure you have your documents ready before entering the upload feature.
