1) What happens if a player is substituted?
When you place a bet on a specific player, the bet always stays on that player. If that player is substituted during the match, the bet is not transferred to the substitute.
We do not offer “super substitution” or automatic replacement of players in bets. This means that if your selected player does not achieve the required outcome before being substituted, the bet will be settled as lost.
Example:
You bet on Erling Haaland to score. Haaland does not score and is substituted. Marmoush comes on as a substitute and scores. Your bet will be settled as lost, because the goal was not scored by the player you selected.
If you would like to request odds for a specific market or scenario, please see the article: How can I request odds on an unlisted market or event? and contact Customer Support.
2) What happens if a player retires or withdraws?
The settlement of your bet depends on the sport and when the withdrawal or retirement happens.
Future Winners bets (e.g. F1, skiing, cycling, motorcycling)
If a player or participant withdraws from the competition, the bet is considered lost.
Tennis and similar individual sports
If the player you bet on withdraws before the first set is completed, the bet will be void and your stake will be refunded.
If the player retires after the first set has been completed, the bet will be settled as lost, and the opponent is considered the winner.
Example:
You bet on Carlos Alcaraz to beat Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon. Alcaraz retires due to injury in the third game of the second set. Your bet will be settled as lost, as Djokovic advances to the next round.
3) What happens if an event is suspended, postponed, or cancelled?
Sometimes events are affected by unforeseen circumstances. How your bet is settled depends on what happens next and when the event is completed.
If a match is suspended
A bet is considered valid if the event is completed within 12 hours of the scheduled start time.
If the outcome has already been decided before the suspension, the bet will stand.
Bets that have not yet been decided before the suspension will be refunded.
If a match is cancelled
If the match is cancelled after it has started and the official result is confirmed within 12 hours, the bet will stand.
If no official result is confirmed within 12 hours, the bet will be void and your stake will be refunded.
Example:
You bet on Liverpool to beat Manchester City. The match is abandoned after 72 minutes due to bad weather, with Liverpool leading 2–1. If the authorities confirm this result within 12 hours, the bet will stand. If no decision is made within 12 hours, the bet will be void.
If a match is postponed
If the event is postponed before the scheduled start time and is not completed within 12 hours, all bets will be void.
If the match is played and completed within 12 hours, all bets will remain valid.
4) What happens if one selection in my multiple bet is void?
If one selection in your combination (combo) or system bet is void, that selection will be removed from the bet and the odds will be recalculated based on the remaining selections.
Your bet will still stand with the remaining valid selections, using the updated total odds.
Please note: When betting on football using Bet Builder, if one selection is cancelled or void, all selections in that Bet Builder bet will be cancelled and the stake will be refunded.
